Are 100 Days of Freedom enough to change a person's
life around? This compelling one-hour documentary
chronicles three criminal offenders' release from prison and
their courageous efforts to change the only way of life they
have ever known. Their struggle to succeed is difficult, to
say the least.
David, a former thousand-dollar-a-day cocaine addict who
fueled his addiction with a string of robberies, struggles to
locate his estranged family. He has not seen or heard from
his wife and two young children since he was locked up.
Gloria, a former prostitute and drug addict, longs for a
normal life and to earn an honest day's pay. Convicted of
the violent gang-on-gang home invasion where she and the
other attackers used samurai swords and butcher knives,
has been described by her parole board as "brutal". They
will decide now if she will leave her prison home.
Wayne, a former drug dealer and gang banger, has only
seen 3 years of freedom in the last 30 years. Inside, he
discovered his aboriginal culture and hopes his native
spirituality can keep him on the high road on an outside
world that fills him with low temptations.
Camera crews follow these three from their final days in
incarceration to their release and attempts to settle back
into the community.
